Arrival Time:
I arrived at the Rose Bowl Flea Market around 12pm after waiting a good 30 minutes for parking. I definitely would come earlier next time. Around 9-11am to avoid the traffic to park. Plus the sun will be less strong earlier in the day so you won't get tired as easily.

Dress Code:
I knew it was going to be hot so I made sure to wear something breathable and comfortable. Forget trying to look cool at the flea market. I saw way to many people trying to impress and show off their style. You come to hunt and sort through old clothes. I also recommend bringing a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen to protect you from the sun, because boy is it hot!

What to Bring:
Bring a bag or backpack that you can carry a few essential items in as well as take home any purchases you make. I would avoid standing in line for mediocre Mexican food. Just bring your own snacks to munch along the way. And water. Water is definitely needed. You don't realize how much walking and energy you are burning digging through clothes. I would also bring toilet paper. Yes if you know you're going to end up needing to go bring some just in case. The bathrooms are the Rose Bowl Flea Market are not well maintained. And lastly, cash. Depending on what you have in mind to purchase bring the appropriate amount. More is better in this case, because you will alway find something you didn't plan on buying.

Lastly, one thing I learned from my first time is always have a game plan! I went not knowing what I wanted to buy (which is fine), but I ended up going around the entire flea market. Next time I go, I am sticking to the vintage clothes section so I can put more of my focus and energy on finding something I want. Do not let yourself get overwhelmed by the amount of people and things to see. It is nearly impossible to look at every vendor so take a deep breath, relax, and take it all in.
